MEP design without the delays. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineered as one coordinated, clash-free, permit-ready package — because MEP coordination is where projects go to die, and we refuse to let them.

The service

Engides Engineering PLLC designs the systems that make a building work: heating, cooling, and ventilation; power distribution and lighting; water, waste, and gas. Most firms design the three systems in three silos and let the contractor referee. We design them together, in-house, against the same model of the building — so the duct and the beam and the plumbing riser are never competing for the same twelve inches in your ceiling.

Typical project applications

  • Ground-up commercial, industrial, and multifamily buildings needing a complete MEP package
  • Tenant improvements — restaurants, retail, office, medical, and fitness scopes where systems change with the layout
  • HVAC replacements and upgrades, including rooftop equipment change-outs with structural coordination
  • Electrical service upgrades, panel and distribution work, and lighting redesigns
  • Kitchen, laboratory, and specialty scopes with real ventilation, gas, and grease-waste demands
  • Multi-site rollouts where one operator needs the same standard held across many jurisdictions

Technical deliverables

  • Mechanical — load calculations, ventilation design to code, equipment selection and schedules, duct layout, and rooftop coordination with the structural set
  • Electrical — service sizing and one-line diagrams, distribution and panel schedules, lighting layouts, and power plans built on the NEC as locally adopted
  • Plumbing — water distribution, sanitary and vent design, storm piping, gas sizing, fixture schedules, and specialty waste where the scope requires it
  • Energy compliance — the calculations and forms your jurisdiction's adopted energy code requires, produced as part of the set, not as an afterthought
  • Coordination set — MEP drawings checked against the structural and architectural backgrounds before submittal
  • Plan-check responses and revisions — answered by the engineers who designed the systems

Design coordination

The deliverable that matters most is the one nobody lists: absence of conflicts. Engides runs MEP, structural, and civil under one roof, so ceiling space is allocated, not fought over; equipment loads reach the structural engineer before the steel is sized; and service entries land where the civil utilities actually are. That is how a set earns the words clash-free — and how your project avoids the RFIs and change orders that bad coordination manufactures.

Jurisdictional considerations

Energy codes, ventilation rates, and amendment packages differ by state and city, and the adopted edition is the one your reviewer enforces. Engides designs to the code editions and local amendments of the authority having jurisdiction, and every stamped package is sealed by a professional engineer licensed in your project's state. Where an existing building's systems predate current code, we design the upgrade path that satisfies the reviewer without gold-plating the scope.

How to request a proposal

Send the project location and scope — architectural drawings if they exist, equipment lists or cut sheets if they don't yet. Same-day quotes are available on qualifying scopes, and every inquiry is answered within 12 to 24 hours with a written fee and turnaround. One point of contact covers every jurisdiction your project touches, from a single tenant improvement to a multi-state rollout.
